All dental instruments need to be sterilized after every use, including all hand pieces (drills), burs (drill bits), and hygiene tools. We accomplish this vital task with high-pressure steam autoclave systems, known as the LISA™ and the STATIM™. We also use another device, designed to test for spores on both systems. After all, we have to make sure the machine that cleans our tools is clean too!

All of our operatories (the rooms where our dentists work) are equipped with two independent, clean water delivery systems. This allows us to bypass the city’s water supply, so we can only use specially treated water in our dental chairs, drills, syringe tips, and hygiene tools. It is formulated to eliminate bacteria and viruses, our water is always sterile.

Intra-oral cameras are small cameras fitted onto pen-sized wands, and can create images up to 40 times larger than actual size. Touring your mouth with intra-oral cameras can help us better understand your dental concerns.

Kinetic cavity preparation uses concentrated air streams to wipe away tooth decay, as well as mild abrasions. This gentle, nearly silent technology, eliminates the need for drilling. It’s ideal for small to medium sized cavities.

The Wand is a computer-assisted system for administering local anesthesia to parts of your mouth, designed to minimize the discomfort of the traditional syringe. It controls the flow and speed of the anesthesia, allowing for maximum comfort as well as ultimate tailoring to your individual needs.

Dental x-rays are designed to provide a picture of what’s happening in areas we can’t see, and to pick up on early signs of tooth decay, impacted teeth, abscesses, and bone loss. X-rays are designed to penetrate all objects in their path, except metal.
